GPS Fail with new Radio on Official Alltel Rom

Ok, so after flashing to the new official alltel rom found on the htc website "Touch Diamond Alltel ROM Update- Version 2.00.671.5" radio: 1.12.20F it takes 10+ min to get a lock on only about 4-5 satellites. I have configured all the GPS settings and QuickGPS is up to date. I have flashed back to the original radio 1.03.13f and have since been able to get lightning fast GPS locks. I would like to have the new radio because it seems to have bettery battery life and the phone does not get as hot when talking or surfing the web. Has anybody else had this issue and if so anybody else found a work around to fix the bad GPS.

It's the radio. I have no clue why. I'm trying out the Telus 1.04 radio right now but Sprint's 1.11F was nice to me.

Mr.Obvious i see that you're in Hutch. I'm in Hays so you think that the Telus or Sprint radio would be the best choice.....I really don't like the Alltel 1.03.13f due to heat during GPS use and talking on phone.

Yeah well both seem to be the two top radios at the moment.

Thank you. I have just switched back to 1.11f after using the two "newest" radios from Alltel and Cellular South, both of which gave me noticeably poorer battery life. I use my phone primarily in Staten Island, one of the boroughs of New York City, for those interested.

I am in Plainville and have had great luck with the Telus radio. I am playing with the latest Sprint one right now, but haven't had it on there long enough to give a review.

I won't know how good the Telus radio works compared to the Sprint but I'm going to Nickerson tonight. Battery life seems good but I can't really compare reception yet.
