After turning off radio and data, tethering does not work

Hi all,
Using Mighty ROM 6. When I disable the phone and data through Communications, I can't get tethering to work anymore. I turn the phone and data back on, I can download weather and use opera, but tethering no longer works. It just sits at "Waiting for network" when I hit connect. This is both for USB and Bluetooth.

Any ideas?

You're joking, right? If you turn off the radio, there's no signal to tether to. Why would you want to turn them off?

I was on an airplane so turned off my radio and data connections. After landing, I turned it back on. But now I can't tether.

Check the registry settings before and after you toggled regarding tethering.
Maybe they went back to the default setting and need to be changed again.
But would be a pita to have to change them back every time you toggle the radio and data.
Someone familiar with that ROM and there are many would be able to give you a more accurate assessment.

I hate to say it, but this is a real, repeatable issue. I did a Hard Reset on my diamond. Ran the tethering cab and tethered perfectly. Turned on Airplane Mode. Turned it back off and enabled data, and tethering just sits "waiting for network". The only way I've found to get back to tethering again is a hard reset! HELP!

Can't say i've ever had that issue. Also, i'd like to preface this by stating that I LOL'ed when i saw the title of this thread. It is deceptively worded. On to the issue. I would suggest unlocking the phone and try JUST flashing the radio (post HERE ) and see if thats the issue. Outside of that, i would recommend a new rom, or avoiding airplane mode.

I have actually fixed this issue by launching wmwifirouter (if you have that)
