Re: My Diamond Hard Reset !!!!
You need to flash back to the Sprint "shipped" rom. Take your battery out for about 30 seconds, replace it ... then, while pressing the volume down. button on the side of your phone, press and hold the power button. This will put the device into bootloader mode. Connect via USB cable and flash back to Sprint "shipped". Then reflash your custom rom. Be sure to do a clear storage, afterwards. You can then do a full restore with SPB ...

Re: My Diamond Hard Reset !!!!
was the resco app a pay version or did you get it free? sounds like the app was corrupt. "clearstorage" is the easy hardreset. start\setting\system\clearstorage

Re: My Diamond Hard Reset !!!!
UPDATE:
Approximately 45 minutes ago I found the solution! I ran SPB Backup a 2nd time and everything is working now I don't know why cprog.exe didn't take the first time but I'm glad it took the 2nd time. I should have thought of that hours ago as I would have gotten some sleep. Just some info: 1) when I was having the described issues, cprog.exe was not found in the Task Manager. 2) when everything was finally working, cprog.exe was obviously in the Task Manager. The question still remains as to why removing Resco Contact Manager caused all this to happen. Btw, I have the stock ROM on my Diamond. I downloaded the newest version of Resco Contact Manager from the link provided over at xda by resco in post #1 of his most recent thread. I also posted the issues I was having. I sent a pm to resco as I would like to know his thoughts about what he think happened. I also use Resco Explorer which works really nicely. Anyway, I'm glad I got my Diamond up and running even if it took me over 6 hours to resolve the issue. My experience may be a cautionary tale for others so they don't find themselves in the same situation. At least until the cause of what happened is found. I will now get alittle sleep. Thanks for the suggestions. Btw, I never was able to do a hard reset and I tried over ten times. Looks like I didn't need one anyway. The way I attempted the hard reset was as I described in the beginning of this thread. There is a lot of misinformation regarding the hard reset on the web but I followed the directions which are on the HTC website which did not work. Last edited by Biker1; 07-25-2009 at 07:59 AM. |

Re: My Diamond Hard Reset !!!!
Just purchased SPB backup as it is well worth the $24.95
Coincidentally, my trial period ended today. You get 5 backups during the trial. |

Re: My Diamond Hard Reset !!!!
Yes, SPB saved me alot of grief.
I actually did a Restore from Internal Storage. I also backed up all files to my pc which I didn't do before. I thought Activesync backed up all files which I was wrong about. |
