game slowdown on sprint touch diamond

i tried installing the mega arcade pack on my gfs diamond, but alot of the games lag to the point where games like aquella ball and pipes free 10 seconds at a time making them unplayable. even games like solitare freeze every once in a while for like 10 secs. i flashed it to a completely fresh sprint rom but still the same problems. i had no problems playing these games on my touch pro with the stock sprint rom. is this just how the diamond is?

no, I play them just fine. Does it do the same after a soft reset, with all the ram freed up?

I noticed a hard reset when I installed the openvg driver pack w/out first installing the ati drivers so ... ati drivers then openvg drivers. Seems to give more graphic speed stability w/most of the games I play, thps, warcraft etc.

yea after a soft reset its still extremely laggy. it was like this right out the box so that kinda made me assume thats how the diamond was supposed to be. ill try out that driver, thanks for the replies!

i hard reset the phone, cleared and formatted internal storage, and ONLY installed the arcade pack and aquella ball and pipes from the Arcade Pack was still freezing whenever i tap the screen (my gf really likes those games). afterwards i installed the ati drivers and then the openvg driver, and its still giving me the same freezing problem. is this just a problem with this diamond or is there anything else i could try?

anyone else with a diamond playing these 2 games freeze free?

found something else. whenever i dont touch the screen these games work fine, but the moment i touch them, about 95% of the time the screen freezes for about 5-10 sec. however, when i use mymobiler to control my diamond through the computer, it works just fine. any ideas?

ok downgraded to the oldest firmware and radio (rom 1.09.651.5 and radio 1.00.00F) and that was the only official firmware that stopped the freezing for those games and also for landscape texting....weird o_O
