HTC Diamond Sync Problem

Hi there.. well im having the same problem as many of others.. the Vista Sync problem.. i just reinstalled vista today.. i installed Windows Device Mobile Center and connected my HTC and nothing..

when i connect my htc to the pc.. it pops up a screen on my htc.. to choose if i want ActiveSync/Disk driver or Internet Sharing.. its selected ActiveSync.. but it doesnt sync at all with my pc

i read on some topic here.. go in ur HTC in Setting/USB2PC and uncheck that network advance box then reconnect.. i did this also.. but still nothing happens

Re: HTC Diamond Sync Problem

A previous Diamond I had was having a couple of issues and one of them was that I could not get my Diamond to syn regularly.
It synced once and after that it didn't sync anymore.
I exchanged my Diamond and the replacement syncs every time
The replacement Diamond has the new stock ROM and Radio.
The ROM upgrade may be the solution. I never found out why my Diamond was having Sync issues but the older ROM had a few issues including always freezing and having to reset it ten times a day.

Re: HTC Diamond Sync Problem

I use

www.WMWifiRouter.com

which enables you to tether via usb, bluetooth and wifi.
It does have a one time $29.99 charge but well worth the cost.

Maybe just do a warranty exchange with your carrier.

You can also flash a new ROM from the bootloader screen. To do this, remove the battery for a few seconds...replace battery...hold 'back arrow' button down, hold the 'volume-down' button down and then hold the 'power' button down while the phone is turned off. Wait for the boot loader screen. Once in bootloader plug in the USB cable that is attached to your laptop. The Screen should now say USB at the bottom...Flash away.

Also if you have never flashed a rom before make sure you visit this sticky http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062 and pay close attention to which version of the Diamond you have: GSM vs CDMA.
