Flashing back to "Stock Rom" Question

O.K. Here's the deal.

I know it is highly recommended to flash back to a "Stock" ROM before flashing a custom ROM, but do we necessarily have to wait for the full customization to be complete before we flash again? To be more specific, can I flash to a Stock ROM, take the battery out (at the point when it says "Tap Screen to ....." just before you align the screen), re-insert the battery, and put in Bootloader Mode? Or do I have to wait for all customizations to end and for the phone to reboot?

I was just wondering....cause I flash a lot.

Flash your stock rom using the ruu tool, wait until the "tap screen to begin setting up your device" screen appears and reflash my next rom using the ruu tool again is usually what I do.

So there's no need to go through all the customizations? Have you ever had the problem of a previous ROM's tweaks or cabs sticking?

Re: Flashing back to "Stock Rom" Question

Im pretty thourogh on my flashs, I alwas flash to shippedand let cust run then hardreset and let them run again then flash to the custom ROM and let cust run then hardreset again.
Many people say this is not needed but I never ever have any bugs or glitches so I just stick with what I know works.

Re: Flashing back to "Stock Rom" Question

I always let customizations run completely, I figure whats another 4 minutes when it might save some headaches and another flash. I used to not let them run and pull the battery but one time it was messed up (only once though), now I just take the time and let it run.

Oh yeah one more thing, there is a difference between stock and shipped with some carriers...always use SHIPPED when available.

Re: Flashing back to "Stock Rom" Question

I let it run in case a custom ROM messes up my carrier settings.

I thought the difference was that shipped also changed your radio? Can someone verify or correct me on this?
