Battery Monitor documentation

I've searched high and low and can't find any documentation on the Battery Monitor that is included on many of the roms. Some fields are fairly obvious and the most important ones are clearly charge current and discharge current, but I was wondering if anyone knows more about some of the other fields.

The first value MainBatteryID changes while using just a single battery. Any idea why? Does this mean I have an unstable battery? I thought this would be helpful in tracking perfomance on different batteries, but, at least on the battery in my phone now, has unstable readings. Why?

Any idea what CBI stands for?

How about temperature_AD?

Does anybodys' Temperature value actually change? Mine always shows 30C no matter how hot the phone feels!

ChargeCurrent sometimes reads a value, occassionally 1 or 2 mA, even with no charger connected! usually 0, but sometimes non-zero.....?

Nice tool, but would love to know more! Can anybody help?

Re: Battery Monitor documentation

Lots of people looking but nobody has any documentation or even guesses to what CBI means? Has anyone had any temperature readings besides 30 degrees centigrade? Does your MainBatteryID change on the same battery? If you're going to take the time to read this, at least give me your temperature and batteryID experience. Thanx!

Re: Battery Monitor documentation

Thanks for looking and posting! I've searched quite a bit myself and found nothing. What about my other questions, do you notice batteryid change or is it just my battery going bad? Have you every seen any temperature readings besides 30 degrees Centigrade?

Re: Battery Monitor documentation

My temp is always the same, and like you guys I don't know what the values mean as the battery monitor doesn't include a read-me file. In some systems it's known as charge battery index and is a way of finding out why the battery is charging at its current rate (based on real time conditions). But for a cell phone I don't know this to be the case.
