it defines what data connection to put on hold when a call comes in, so data can be resumed afterward. some apps/ect change it and confuse the phone.
(btw, the #777 is only for CDMA)

Re: Sprint - HTC phones not ringing (straight to vm)
So I tried:
* the .cab with the #777... made no difference at all * tried setting the SCI to 0 (zero) absolutely no difference... still calling my self and my phone won't ring/vibrate/pretend it's receiving a phone call. * Disabled EVDO by changing Preferred Mode to 1X (CDMA Only). This seems helped as well but it still happens... it's almost like my phone gets switched to a mode where it's unable to receive calls.. and then i comes back to normal. running out of options... I guess i'll install that Verizon Rom if i can find it... Any more suggestions?

well, the only think I can think of is location. does it act this way everywhere, or just @ home or work
also your sure your msid is correct? it doesn't always match the phone #. |

My MSID is different than my phone #... it was given to me when i first activated it. How is the MSID important? |

Re: Sprint - HTC phones not ringing (straight to vm)
the msid is a # used & owned by the carrier to help identify your phone. think of it as a internet gateway, dhcp server, or dns address.
the mdn is your # and 'owned' by you. Last edited by shaggylive; 05-21-2009 at 01:52 AM. |
