Request, How do I remove "ALARM OFF" text [SOLVED]
After much searching and reading I'm stumped.
I'd like to remove the ALARM OFF text that is circled in red. I think it is a manilla edit but not sure. I know it is a little thing, but ... http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/t...out795/417.png |
Re: Request, How do I remove "ALARM OFF" text
SOLVED !!
I ended up editing 590ad244_manila with notepad. For the amount of time I spent trying to figure it out it only took seconds to do. |
Re: Request, How do I remove "ALARM OFF" text
does the alarm still work? when you turn it on? and can you post where the file is and what to edit step by step?
this will be good to but in registry tweaks also for those who may be looking to do the same |

The file is in the windows folder, I copied it over to my laptop and opened it using notepad. I removed the text >alarm off< between the >< and saved it as a .txt file. I moved it over to the phone and renamed it by removing the .txt extension. I shut down touchflo on the today menu and using total commander I copied and pasted the file into the windows folder. I also changed the date format so the day is displayed first. This is the changed file from notepad. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?> <xliff version="1.0" lang="en-us"> <file datatype="plaintext" original="Home"> <header /> <body> <trans-unit id="IDS_HOMETITLE"> <source>Home</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_DATEFORMAT"> <source>dddd MMM d, yyyy </source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_APPOINTMENTS"> <source>Appointments</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_MAINVIEW"> <source>Main View</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_MISSEDCALLCOUNT"> <source>%d Missed Call</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_MISSEDCALLSCOUNT"> <source>%d Missed Calls</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_NOMISSEDCALL"> <source>Call History</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_NEWVOICEMAIL"> <source>New Voicemail</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_NEWVOICEMAILSCOUNT"> <source>%d New Voicemails</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_NOAPPOINTMENTS"> <source>Calendar</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_PHONE"> <source>Phone</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_PROGRAMS"> <source>Programs</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_ALLDAY"> <source>All Day</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_ALARMOFF"> <source></source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_CALENDAR"> <source>Calendar</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_CONTACTS"> <source>Contacts</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_HOMEZONE"> <source>HomeZone</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_CITYZONE"> <source>CityZone</source> </trans-unit> <trans-unit id="IDS_NEWVOICEMAILCOUNT"> <source>%d New Voicemail</source> </trans-unit> </body> </file> </xliff> |

Re: Request, How do I remove "ALARM OFF" text [SOLVED]
FYI This also is the same file to edit how you want your date displayed and if you want to clear the words "call history" and "calendar" to get a cleaner/clear home screen. Delete the words quoted in Source Tags
Date formats can be edited also. |
Re: Request, How do I remove "ALARM OFF" text [SOLVED]
Does this mean I can put what ever words I want between those > < and it will show up..
I might be confusing you, I want to change "call history" to just "calls"..Can I do that using this method? |
Re: Request, How do I remove "ALARM OFF" text [SOLVED]
what about the little clock icon, any way you can remove it and have it only show when the alarm is on

Re: Request, How do I remove "ALARM OFF" text [SOLVED]
Since this is solved I hope you don't mind if I go off topic...
So were did you get that Manila theme? Can you post a link or a attachment? Is there any way to just get that clock? The background would also be nice... :) |
