Preventing Data Connection on verizon

Data Connection keeps connecting automatically! My work is going to KILL me! I tried deleting #777 from connections, but it just keeps coming back. I tried changing the number, reverts automatically. There has to be a way to stop this...

Unless you're actively downloading something the random connecting is not really using that much "data".

Are you running any programs/apps that require regular data connection (e.g., email, weather, etc.)?

late,
Coz

edit: I'm gonna move this to the general Diamond Fourm.

sometimes, sometimes it's specific to gsm. (technically the answer is no)

1+ for NoData.cab works great!

Re: Preventing Data Connection on verizon

Call verizon and have them disable your NAI Profile for you... that or you can do it yourself if you're comfortable in your ##DATA menu and know your MSL.

some program that you have installed is trying to access data (internet) it is more feasable to identify that program and change the settings to prevent it from doing so. i had an email/contacts sync program that i downloaded from aol (funambol)that gave me the same prob. it kept connectint every 5 mins to sync my email and contacts. i disabled it and the problem went away
