watching movies, which format on diamond

What is the format to convert and download for watching movies on the diamond?
Also where can you get this type of media? I would download the format for viewing this material, if i need to pay for it, i would otherwise i'll convert my dvds if even possible?

Re: watching movies, which format on diamond

I have 3gp movie files that owrk on my diamond but I just started so I am sure there are more formats if not better. You can download them using torrents/lime wire etc or you can convert them using dvdfab platnium, I am sure nero can too. You might want to google the info if this isn't enough.

Any format will probably play on TCPMP. You should be able to just use a MP4 or AVI container.

It depends on the format. I know you can stream music through .pls files but movies are another thing. You can do Youtube.

Re: watching movies, which format on diamond

I converted a movie to an avi and it didn't work not sure if the resolution had to be spot on but i chose one that would fit. Mp4 also is not playable, I wonder what i'm doing wrong to not be able to play videos.

Re: watching movies, which format on diamond

If your trying to stream movies, you can use ORB to stream them to your PPC. I mostly stream .avi files. You can change the settings around in ORB. I have found that using the (realplayer) .pls stream format on ORB and TCPMP on your phone works the best for me.
