Opera VGA, but blurry images

Anyone have a version of Opera or a setting that will make images show up clear? It is like they are in QVGA, not VGA resolution when displayed on the screen.

I have tried 15316, 15954, and the current 9.5 beta off the Opera web site.

Thanks!

Re: Opera VGA, but blurry images

opera looks fine in my screen shots and im using15954...opera is always crisp on my phone (i know skyfire is all pixilated). the only things i can think of are that you are using a qvga opera, the pictures on the sites you are viewing are not that great of quality, or you are zooming in too much to view the picture. cause everything on the web is optimized for 72dpi (since thats the usual resolution of a computer screen, unless you have higher res one). and the screen of the diamond has a much higher dpi.

If you look at the graphics in your screenshot, like the tabs Home, Forum, Register, etc., you can see how blurry they are. Even the PPCGeeks logo is not very crisp. I will play around with the zooming to see if that has any effect. I very much notice it in the Google logo when going to www.google.com/m.

Re: Opera VGA, but blurry images

That's because Opera doesn't perform smoothing when scaling down images. It's for better performance on out little phone processors.

Just double tap or give it a second to render.

It just seems like when I am zoomed in to 100% that the image should look exactly like it would on my PC, not all blocky.

Zoomed in on the Diamond is actually anywhere between 160% and 200% by default. Since the images are blown up, and Opera doesn't perform smoothing for performance reasons, they look blocky.
