Diamond - Blackberry-like notification?

I searched a little to no avail. Is there a way to change in the registry or anything, to where you receive a text message, but it only notifies you by sound, and does not turn the screen on? Thanks in advance.

search for juggalo notificaton cab. you can make device vibrate, sound or flash the enter key led on email or text etc

Or u can go to sounds and notifications, drop the box down to highlight texts or emails or whatever and make sure that "play sound" is the only box checked....

Thanks, but im more looking for some kind of edit that when you receive a text, the screen doesnt wake up...it just vibrates or makes a sound instead...these settings for this cab don't seem to do that

Search the registry for "DisableSMSWakeupEvent" and change it to "1".

If you have diamond tweak installed on your rom, there is an option to enable/disable it in there.

Thought this would do it but... I installed the diamond tweak, changed the setting like you suggested, soft reset, still same issue. So i decided to to go into the registry to see if maybe it wasnt making the change. "disableSMSwakeupevent" is set to 1.

Screen is still turning on. Any other ideas? I'm a little surprised this didn't fix it...
