Returning HTC Diamond to Sprint

I haven't been really impressed with the Diamond and wanted to take it back because I am still within my 30 day period. I flashed Juicy on my phone. Do I have to put the Sprint stock ROM back on there? I have been trying to put it back on there, but when I do for some reason it is saying my phone isn't connected to my computer when it actually is. Please help! TIA.

You sir are not ready for the Diamond.

You don't have to flash back to the stock rom but you must relock your phone.

you have not at all realized the potential of the diamond tisk tisk lol but to be sure i would flash one of the two shipped stock ROM and BE SURE TO LOCK IT. because if they find out you messed with you phone, your warranty may be vioded.

be sure it's connected in active sync mode, not disk drive mode.

If it's causing problems, put it into bootloader mode (shut down, then hold power and voldown, or hold power+voldown and tap soft reset) and flash then. As they've said, be sure to relock afterwards.

you could try flashing your phone using the internal storage as referenced in this thread....

can I ask which phone you're going for? I've used most of the and the Diamond/Pro are some of the best WinMo phones on the market

Well I was eligible for my 2 year upgrade so I was going to use it on the Diamond but I text a lot and didn't like the touch keypad. I really want to get the Palm Pre when it comes out so I am going to just return my phone and use an older model phone until it comes out.

Agree'd

too bad touch pal doesn't work in landscape yet (is this ever going to get updated)

as for relocking when returning, I have never done this, I just put sprint stock back on there and its good to go. I don't think HTC is going to get my phone and say "this has been unlocked, find out where this came from and VOID THAT WARRANTY"

but maybe thats just me

Really? I hate touchpal it's to hard to use. The learning curve is ridiculous to get used to. I've always used compact qwerty and it is by far the fastest and most reliant keyboard I've ever used.
