Re: Need help battery on my HTC Diamond

Try this...

in tf3d... Scroll to settings... Communications... and TURN OFF BEAM...

Might help a little.

If you do not use GPS much, turning off LOCATION will help alot(under start/settings/phone). If you have weak signal(shifting from your carrier to another one, back and forth constantly) then you could try forcing your phone to ROAMING ONLY. It's free roaming with most of Sprint plans.

Re: Need help battery on my HTC Diamond

how much of battery improvement does the new radio have over the
old sprint radio? 1.1 vs 1.0?

Re: Need help battery on my HTC Diamond

Does the radio really have much to do with battery life? im running on w/e radio my phone came shipped with.... my battery life drops 10% on my ride into work, im trying my hardest to cycle the battery fully with the initial charges, we'll see how this week goes.

Im in West palm beach - daytona on a daily basis and there isnt a listing for those cities particularly on the radio thread..

I havent had any dropped calls yet, so im hesitant to switch radios....

anybody have any recommendations?

Sometimes the radio can have an impact on the battery because it searches for signals which makes ur phone work. if ur getting good reception then i wouldnt recommend switching radios.

Re: Need help battery on my HTC Diamond

Willy: Try a custom ROM like MightyROM. I find MR5 is very good with battery life.

Re: Need help battery on my HTC Diamond

Im using drybonz 3.1 I think, which apparently got good reviews on battery life.... i just watch the battery drain throughout the day. Maybe I'll give it a shot, its just a pain in the neck to keep switching roms and trying to resync everything and set up the exchange servers and what not.

Have you run drybonz? how did it compare?

Thanks for the help
