Battery life

Hey guys i was using a rom buillt by some of the best cookers and my battery life was normal. Needed to be charged everynight, but i didnt mind that. However i built a rom using calkulins kichtecn, no tf3d, just Spb Mobile Shell and a buncha other small stuff. This time however i set up my email to check every 5 minutes. I also have the SPB weather checking for weather updates automatically. I unhooked it from my charger and i looked lik an hour later and it was also down to 70%. I was only able to use my phone without charging it for about 7 hours before it completlyl died on me. And i barely made any phone calls or even checked my phone. I even lowered the brightness down to the lowest setting to try and conserve battery life....

Anyone know why my battery dies so quick? Never happened before. I'm starting to think that maybe its because outlook is checkin and using an internet connection to check for new updates. You think this would kill it that much though?

maybe thats your problem.. change those setting to manual and see how much your battery life improves.. if its constantly connecting checking for updates thats going to shorten your battery life..

Re: Battery life

Yeah I've heard push mail uses less battery so you could try that. Also check that Opera9.exe isn't running on startup (use DotFred's Task Manager).
