:violent2:if i have unlimited internet throught telus, can i mod my registry to connect to my laptop and not be "tethered" ???

if so how do i do it?

Flash a ROM here. most of them has ICS. if u don't know ICS, do ur research here. There are lots of topics on it.

Also, you can try wmwifi router, turns ur phone into an access point. Then you could us phone as modem without technically doin phone as modem. This way, you would only be charged normal data rates. I'm not sure if this will help you, but I thought I'd try. I use it as well as wmodem. Both are good apps. If have trouble finding it I can post the link, it's somewhere round here.

If I did it was an oversight, and I apologize. I was only trying to help. ICS didn't ring a bell so I mentioned what I used. I know these threads can get clogged up w bs and repeats so if I missed something I will try to avoid it in the future.:mrgreen:

yea but with ics on my mightyrom, does telus know i am tethered (and charge me retardedly) or is it already regedited to its just phone traffic?

i really like wmwifirouter ;) but i wanna be able to charge off usb and use the net through my phone :)
