over heating w/ wmwifirouter ?

I used wmwifirouter for about 20 mins this afternoon and my phone was smoking hot. Is this normal? I've never used the program until today and I'm thinking this can not be good for my phone.

remove the back cover helps the phone ventilate too.

Yup...Your phone will be "cooking eggs on it hot" after a short while. It's normal. Heck my phone gets hot using bluetooth some days.

Use of the cellaur radio and wifi at the same time draws huge!

Battery cover coming off is a good suggestion. But other than that, just limit the time your using it.

Thanks all. Yeah, I never realized my phone could get that hot, lol!! So am I guessing correctly that if I need to tether do so via usb and not wifi? This should cut down on the heat?

you shouldn't have to tether via USB since Wifi is clearly easier to set up and is part of the point of having a phone like this...when using Wifi, taking off the back cover works...the other option is to open the keyboard, stand the phone up vertically against something (so the back is exposed to cooler air) and as somebody else suggested, dim the screen...there is an "always on" app floating around here somewhere that will keep wifi active and connected even with the screen off and when data transfer slows or stops...
