Daylight Savings Time

Did a brief search and all the info on the subject seemed a little dated.

My diamond still hasn't skipped forward an hr, tried reseting and still no luck. Is telus just slow to update the time on thier towers or is there something I have to do on my end?

I'd assume the diamond already has the DST patch installed?

Re: Daylight Savings Time

I had to download the .cab file from post 3 in this thread to get it corrected.

Re: Daylight Savings Time

Hmmm I would of thought by now they would of had it fixed, oh well I downloaded the cab, and everything fixed itself.

For anyone else who might be in the same boat I've got a telus touch diamond, running Juicy's 3.71 (ya ya a bit old but it's stable and there hasn't been anything to convince me to switch)

P.S. Reading the other thread it seems like G-Alarm might be the culprit, obviously I have the latest version of GA

Re: Daylight Savings Time

This worked for me. Go to Start Menue, Settings, Personal, Phone, Services. Scroll down to Time Synchronization then press Get Settings. You need to check the box labled "Time Synchronize with mobile network automatically". No need for soft reset. Im with sprint now my time is correct.

This is my first post I hope it helps someone.

On stock ROM - had to install patch

I'm on the stock ROM, and had to install the patch.

Got up this AM, had message saying clock had been changed; it hadn't. Tried a soft reset, changing time zones back and forth, time synch. Nothing worked.

Read MS notes for the patch - didn't see anything about any North American time zones, but installed it. Soft reset - time changed to correct time.

Re: Daylight Savings Time

on my diamond i just kept pressing the update button in synch settings. it wouldn't work at first, but after a soft recent and a few more presses, it finally updated. weird that it took so many attempts when i pressed it.
