alltel diamond internet
 

Ok I have a sprint diamond activated on my alltel account. I'm running the mighty rom. I use wifi router 0.91. I can use wifi router no problem. when wifi router is off and i try to use the internet connection on my phone (opera browser, download weather, music streaming, ect it will not work. I get a connection error. Any Ideas. I've searched but found nothing on this problem.

What are the specifics of the connection error?

well when I open opera I get a cannot find server errorr. when I try to update my weather it says unable to update. but yet I can tether just fine. I even unistalled wmwifi to see if that was the problem, but it's not

Try going Start->Settings->Connections->Connections->Manage existing connections then make sure it has your username and password (1234567890@alltel.net & alltel). Barring that you may have to go through with QPST and more advanced looking stuff. I'm thinking you may not have the data settings programmed right in ##778.

all those settings are right. I even tried using wifi. I can access the wifi connection and it connects but the weather won't update and I get an error using any of the browsers on the phone. I just hard reset the phone and am able to get tethering and the phone's web browser to work now. After the hard reset i am still not able to connect to the internet using wifi. it is very strange.

I flashed to conflippers rom and everything is working, so i don't know what was going on.

Good. Conflipper's is designed for Alltel so maybe something didn't jive.
