Error [262] Update Error
 

I'm trying to install a new ROM and I have ERROR[262] Update Error, anybody has a clue?

The best way to clear this is to flash Sprint SHIPPED rom found here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062. Then you can reflash a custom rom sucessfully.

ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR

"This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process.

Solution: If this happens, you can just soft-reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue.

Note: At this stage, the Wince is destroyed; instead, it is in upgrade mode"

I've flashed back to the shipped Sprint ROM, but when I try to upgrade to any other one I have the same problem Error [262.......

I solve it unlocking the phone, even though it said unlock in the tri-color screen, it wasn't, so I unlocked it with cmonex diamonod unlock and the error dissapeared

Not meaning to be critical but this is why everyone should read thru the instructions prior to flashing. I'm not preaching but you could have had a worse outcome.
