A few problems i ran into

So i correctly unlocked my diamond..it says ( spl-0.57 CMONEX

no im trying to but the mighty rom on my diamond.

So i followed the procedure from this site by tobeychris

it seems that when i do the configuration...it starts then stops at 1% and an

error ( error 244 INVALID MODEL ID) comes up.

So why is that and how do i fix it

yes im with sprint and yes its CDMA and yes its unlocked fully and connect to the computer and my computer is running vista turion64x2

im also having trouble with my themes. Do i need to install a rom first before im able to change my themes ?

ok, you seem to be on the ball. by chance are you trying to flash one of Mighty's touch pro roms by mistake? just wanted to see if you may have done this because he has two different rom links for the diamond and tp. secondly, you should wait to put new themes on after you flash a new rom since the rom and device memory are wiped out during flashing. your internal storage will remain though so don't worry about that.

cool, just wanted to be sure. Well if you phone is unlocked which it appears you done correctly, and you are establishing active sync and still not getting past 1%, that is a mystery to say the least. some are having issues with vista which may be the problem. You may want to wait for more responses to this thread but also run a search in the diamond upgrade section for "vista active sync" or "vista problem" you should find some material that may help. Also you can try to flash the rom via bootloader but I would hold off with that error message.

ok i will look for more info regarding this problem

your help was much appreciated

hopefully other people on the board can shed some light on this situation

also i dont think its active sync i actually download another version for the vista because active sync cant run on vista, it called windows mobile device center

if that can help you.

In windows the file you would normally double left click to run, well instead right click it and a menu will drop down within that menu find run as administrator and left click that, if a window pops up click allow and you should be golden. Good luck.
