windows (or is it opera??) password management

ok, i've searched but cant seem to find the answer. fyi, stock ROM, always use opera for web access.

one of my favs requires login/PW. the site itself doesnt have a "remember me" box, but i checked "for the entire server" when it originally asked me "do you want WAND (the password manager) to save the password?" etc. worked flawlessly until i changed that password (while within the particular site). so how do i now change the PW within WAND?? i.e. it seems once WAND has asked to save a password, it never asks again, even if the PW has changed. it simply enters old PW which obviously doesnt work anymore.

i've tried to clear them in settings/privacy/password management, but when i go back in, theyre mysteriously still there!

so what/where is WAND and how do i change???

help anyone?

thanks!

I dont use stock so I am not sure its the same for you but I can manage wand through settings/connections/account manager. Well at least I think this is true of the new leaked sprint rom also.

May I also suggest that you take a look at Skyfire for web browsing best program yet for it, much faster and everything works.

is this "settings/connections/account manager" thru the start menu. if so, i dont have it. my connections tab under settings does not have account manager choice.

I do all my paths through memory and dont use opera settings too much so bear with me. go opera> eject thingy> menu> settings> 3rd one down> clear saved passwords

Try in opera, under settings the privacy tab, scroll down to password management, highlight site and hit the trash can. Sign out of site then sign back on you should get the password management screen again.

been there, tried that. went so far as to make sure i was on a site that i dont even have bookmarked. i trashed all, exited opera, then soft reset for good measure. but alas, when i go back in, theyre all there again. besides i cant even trash just one - no matter which i highlight, they all disappear when i hit the trash can (but, like i said, are miraculously back when i go back into PW management). annoying.

well, fyi, i did just find a thread on here that offers a semi-solution: in the opera direc, there is a WAND file under the security (i think) folder. deleting that will prompt opera to ask again. only prob is what if you have dozens of login/PW's saved? you have to set them all up again. would be nice if you could EDIT instead of DELETE/RECREATE.
