Garmin Mobile XT WITH Internal GPS FIX

Hello

I OWN Garmin Mobile XT, with the locked GARMIN BT GPS Receiver. I would love to use my internal GPS instead of packing the BT unit around.

Has anyone tried and had luck with tinkering the garmin software to get it to use the internal GPS??

PS: this is the version that comes loaded on a cd-rom and you load the software onto whichever device you want. In its current state, it will only work with the Garmin GPS receiver.

I'll try again....but when I've talked to them before I purchased the Diamond. They were quite adament that the XT Version (with the BT GPS) could only be used with their gps unit as the software was locked to the receiver.

That's why I posted here to see if anyone has successfully changed it to use the Diamond's internal gps.

as ou2mame stated, there are ways. Since Garmin is very overprotective of their IP they force users with internal GPS to use their SD cards. . Theres a way around that by registering the serial of your own SD card. But since keygens are on the hush hush especially on this forum, you best try your luck on the all knowing googles. Those with the CD are locked to BT GPS receivers unless you register your SD serial in GarminXT

I’m not sure what a “hack” or “warez” is....
I′m just looking for a work-around for a piece of registered software that I OWN. It seems silly that i have to pack around a gps receiver when my phone has an internal one.
