how to trust gmail.jar

Tested with Esmertec Jbed Build ID: 20080912.5.1

Download and Install gmail.jar
Download the attached policy.utf file
copy the file \Windows\appdb\selector.utf to your computer
edit selector.utf with a hex editor
change
Code:
..\domain=untrusted,
to
Code:
..\domain=tckmax ,
Note the 3 blank spaces!!!
Copy the edited selector.utf and the policy.utf file to \Windows\appdb\
Voila gmail no longer asks if you want to allow net access

thanks to truggl over at xda for the policy.utf file
Attached Files
File Type: zip policy.utf.zip (597 Bytes, 79 views) Click for barcode!

Re: how to trust gmail.jar

2 thoughts:
1. Confirm that the policy.utf file is in the folder \Windows\appdb\
2. What version of Jbed? I would assume they would all work the same, but have heard of different JVMs requiring a tweak within policy.utf as well

Re: how to trust gmail.jar

I'm also not able to create the shortcut. I don't have a s#_suite.jar file for gmail? All I have is s0_sute.jar.
