wmwifirouter question

first I just want to say thanks to this forum for this amazing program.

second, I was wondering if anyone would know why this takes so much battery away from my Ipod touch (versus a normal wifi spot).

does this work differently to suck more juice up from my touch?

Should be the same. But its not gonna be as fast as a traditional home(cable) WIFI connection, so maybe it's using more power because it's actually taking longer to render the pages?

Re: wmwifirouter question

Anyone know if there is a way to hide your SSID using this program? I use it at work, and even though have it secured, people can still see it being broadcasted.

Re: wmwifirouter question

Set up your own adhoc network and select the checkbox for "this is a hidden network."

Then just configure WMWifiRouter to use that network instead of creating and erasing it's own network each time (the dynamic option).
