50% battery = losing program data then hard reset
Got a problem..
My phone is fine on 100% battery.. or plugged in... but lately, when the battery gets lower than 50%, it begins crashing, I lose program data, can not run programs, can't install programs... Then it ends up hard resetting. It comes progressively.. I'll lose one program... then things get worse with time. I tried running a couple different ROMS to see if that cleared it up.. but no.. Possible culprits? I bought 2 ebay batteries.. started after I started using those..... they seemed to work fine initiaally..... except now this happens even with my original battery.. (Initially I thought this might be from the ebay batteries not having enough juice?) I used Mighty Rom 4.1 which has the fast battery charge... could be that? Solutions? Warranty? --- how would I attempt to process as I didn't buy from Sprint directly? I have insurance on the phone ---- do I contact them direct.. or though sprint? Thanks for any advice... Anyone ever seen a problem like this before? |

Sounds like a hardware issue to me.

I agree, sounds like hardware. Unless you have an app that handles memory utilization according to battery level, but I am doubting it...

Re: 50% battery = losing program data then hard reset
Several members who are using custom roms have had similar problems. These have been solved by re-flashing the stock rom and radio, then flashing back to whichever custom rom they wish. Since you are with Sprint, you may want to read this thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=51298 Post #8 in this thread will direct you to the various shipped roms posted, or just go here for the Sprint shipped rom and download: ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Diamond/Stock%20R...nt_Shipped.rar -Ambrose |
