Re: Cricket branded rom for diamond?

You can use any clean ROM you want. Just install the Cricket DCD, it will set most of it up for you. I tried a few ROMs and am now running the MightyROM 2.3 ROM on my Diamond with the FM radio working. I can send and recieve MMSs and the weather web and GPS all work fine. I am also running a roaming EVDO Cricket PRL.

If you can wait there are a couple Cricket ROMs in the works.
Also there are a few post around on the web telling you how to do it.

I have tried all that and dcd's cab but still cant send or receive pictures.

Currently using the latest juicy rom 3.0. I find myself flashing to a rom as soon as somone posts one. Toog had a nice rom for the touch that was cricket and everything worked but he has told me the only working cricket rom he has made is exclusive for one person who paid him a bunch of money for it. I tried the mighty rom the one prior to the fm radio and it has major bugs. Phone locks up and is slower then heck. Is the latest one actualy working without any issues?

Thanks for the waste of time just installed the new mighty rom and just like the previous its slow and locks up during exchange email sync. And you forgot to mention that his rom does not include mms only sms and after installing mms picture mail still dont work.

Word of warning if you have an exchange server dont use this rom. And its slow.

Going back to the juicy rom

The Mighty works just fine. If you PM I'll tell you how to do it. It took a little time and it doesn't run slow. You have to know how to set your page size for the ROM.

I don't post tutorials. i find the info myself and piece it together.

Ive tried the dcd cabs for the vogue which are suppose to be the latest. They dont work. I dont have the time to sit and learn how to cook my own roms or look around and peice stuff together.

This is why I was asking if somone had a true rom for cricket. D harvey toog chem all have cricket roms out for the vogue and titan so figured they might have made one for the diamond. I am willing to pay for a rom that actualy works email me at dcperdue@dwstechnologies.biz if your interested.

I can empathize with you for the problems that you are having, but please relax. Cellfreak was offering to help you based on what he has working for himself and all you did was post comments like "Thanks for the waste of time" and "I dont have the time to sit and learn how to cook my own roms or look around and peice stuff together."

Cellfreak specifically said that you could PM him and he would work you through it. He didn't say that you had to piece it all together, he was saying that was how he did it. But he did offer to get you up and running and help you get it the way that you want it.

A little piece of advice for this forum. If you truly want members here to help you than you have to do a few things:

1. Show some respect.
2. Show some appreciation.
3. Realize that it doesn't always happen the way that you it to.

Sorry if you disagree, this is just my opinion. If you don't want Cellfreak's help, or anyone else's help, in getting a working Cricket rom now than you are going to be stuck waiting for the custom Cricket roms to come out.

And who knows how long that will be...

Ya I am impaitent. I usualy just buy what I want when I want it. I did say I would pay whoever came up with a rom with working picture mail. He said he wanted me to use a rom that has issues and locks up on exchange syncing so I cant follow that advice and when I did I ended up wasting my time reflashing back to a rom that works with exchange.

My time is worth $150 an hour literaly. I figured sense he was using the latest mighty stable rom id try it. I cant use that rom. Its like JD said whats so stable about the mighty stable rom.

I know there are not many exchange users here but when im out of the office I depend on getting those emails to my phone.

I have the highest respect for this forum and its contributers especialy JD and Jucy I have no problems with their roms.

Again name your price for making me a cricket rom and consider it done.
