upgrades for camera
 

sorry if this is a repost, but is the camera in a phone a set pix, or can you upgrade it through reg edits and tweaks?

I don't know much about it or how to do it, but I run Juicy on my Diamond and he frequently updates the camera in his ROM.

the camera inside the phone is maxed out at 3.2 megapixels, that's how much the CCD inside the phone can produce. It will never get better than that.

HERE is a reg hack I found for the camera that makes the panorama pictures larger.

short answer: no. there is no magical tweak or program to make the pictures clearer or a higher quality. you can turn the brightness down and avoid taking pictures inside to maximize the picture clarity. some have reported better response removing the autofocus option, turning shutter sounds off. and some other tweaks however all of those have not been benchmarked. they are no a clear solution. the camera is what it is. kmart sells kodak digital 5.0 MP cameras at around $150. if you need to take good pictures.

I feel like it takes good pics for a camera...I mean I don't expect the pics to be great simply because it is a PPC first.

Sadly, withe exception of photos requiring flash, I think my Diamond takes better photos than my Olympus 4 MP with 10x zoon.
