How to make Caver use touch screen instead of accelerometer??

I've looked all over the internet for a game resembling icopter on the iphone but for the touch diamond, and can't seem to find one. So, I thought about just making it so that I could use the touch screen instead of accelerometers on the touch diamond but I have no idea how. So can someone tell me what I would have to do or do it?
