WIFI help

I have no problem connecting to my WIFI router at work, but since I purchased this http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...=1684939789B01

router for home, I can not connect while the security settings on the router are on...no problem to connect with security turned off. (no matter what setting I use for Authentication type or Data Encryption.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I hate to be negative but I went through the same experience myself with another linksys router. I have a 2 year old linkys 54g router and tried to upgrade to a linksys wireless n router with extended range. same thing happen to me. no matter what setting I setup it would not allow me to secure it with the phone. I finally gave up and went back to my original g router with no problems. I tried calling linksys directly and my carrier and both had no clue how to get it working properly. Sorry if this doesnt help but in my experience, some of the routers just dont work well with ppc phones.

by the way, the router you listed is the same one I had tried to upgrade to... no luck though. the one that does work is the linksys wrt54g router. hope this helps.

yes, it does work for my current setup. I think faroreefer should try it and see if it makes a difference with his router.

Re: WIFI help

yeah, thanks both of you, but I've tried that... It sucks that this router won't work, I got it new for $65 and it works super well for my other stuff in the house.

Re: WIFI help

imma throw in my problem, not meaning to threadjack..

i was able to connect to my linksys router/ddwrt firmware with wpa2/tkip
but since my xbox 360 couldnt connect to wpa2 for some reason, i downgraded it to wpa/tkip

now my diamond/latest juicy cannot connect. ive been mucking around all day trying to figure it out. i got my linksys set to g-only, i had it on mixed.

EDIT: now that i checked out that g-speed tweak, imma see if that fixes it. i'll report back
