EXTREME Call answer delay

Hey guys, my Diamond is suffering from a massive delay when I answer calls, so bad that before I removed voicemail from my service I would miss calls after hitting answer with one ring. Basically what happens is first the answer key and centre starts to flash, it takes about 5 or 6 seconds for the ringtone to start, and once you hit answer (I use slide to answer ported from HD but it makes no difference) it takes nearly 10 seconds to actually connect the call. Ive got Diamond Tweaks and set no answer delay but that really did nothing as well. Anyone else have this problem? Fixes?

known issue... use the standard wm phonepad if you don't like the delay.

the htc phone pad takes 10mb of memory therefore hogs resources

I tried and actually like the standard phonepad better but for some reason my data connection stays active all the time when I use it. Anyone know of a fix or why it happens?

I had the same problem. Mine was this:

Do the following test: Make sure data is turned off, then call cell. If there is still a delay, then you have another issue. If there is no delay, then here is the solution:

The tweaks setting for data connection to auto timeout puts a reg setting in HKLM/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings/SuspendResume
there should only be the following value : #777

If it says somehting like If _ bye_, then that is the problem.
Get a reg editor program (google reg edit 0.9) and change it.
Hope that helps

Can someone please tell me how to access the standard wm phonepad? Sorry I'm kind of computer illiterate and it unfortunately extends to my phone knowledge as well.

There are two potential issues at play:

1) If the phone rings and/or blinks, but the phone does not pick up even when you press the "Send" key, or answers only several seconds after you press the Send key, here is the solution:

2) If the phone flashes but does not ring for several seconds AFTER the phone starts flashing because of an incoming call, here is an option (by going with the default WM dailpad skin):

HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin/Enabled=0

Setting this value to 1 will re-enable the HTC skin.

The data connection isn't really active, the data lights just stay 'on' with the WM dialer. It's annoying but if you don't pay attention to them, it's not a big deal..

This seemed to work for me, hopefully it will work out in the long term. Thanks!

Switching to the default WM dial pad totally helped! The only issue that I found was that with the WM phone pad my phone doesn't vibrate when a connection is made and it doesn't open up notepad when I pull out the stylus while in a phone call even though I have those options checked on. Any thoughts?
