Those two features, I believe, are "value-added" features of the HTC dialer. I don't think you can have it both ways at this time.

iDialer is another option for a prettier skin, and integrates with iContact, but they do not provide the two features you described.

That's too bad. I kind of thought that might be the case. Oh well, the WM dialpad is so much faster than the HTC one I think I'll have to give up those features.

I downloaded FdcSoft taskmanager at http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm. Using the regedit I was able to change the settings and it seems to work perfectly!

Take a look at your HKLM/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings/SuspendResume

It is a multi-sz value and should be #777. If it shows anything like ~GPRS or something containing GPRS, change it back to #777. The fix worked for me with out a soft reset.

I cant take credit for this I found it through a few other threads.
