Highest quality video on our diamonds?

so i just wanted to get some feedback on how to get the highest quality videos and movies on our diamonds. i for one am using pocketdivx encoder to convert my avi files to pocket pc format and io can adjust the size of vid. anybody figure out a better way . i tried imtoo dvd ripper to ppc but it took too long and made the files too big. oh im using tcpmp by the way
