blu-ray digital movie copies

The digital copy of movies that come with blu-ray movie can't be played on my HTC Diamond. I don't have itunes and tried to use windows media player to transfer it. However, it tells me that it can't transfer it to the device because it isn't supported by the device. I have also transferred the movie using active sync... still no luck. Any advice on how to make my diamond capable of playing the movies would be appriciated. FYI I have a Sprint diamond.

First, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post with an answer. Second, that media player won't work on my phone. I tried both ways and each time it give me an error.

I put the movie on the phone without using active sync or wmp (just used the phone as a hard drive). No luck. When I try to play it I get a message that I need to upgrade wmp to play protected content and then it takes me to a link for upgrading wmp on windows xp. The photo album player just shows a blank screen and does nothing.

Were you able to shrink a Blue ray movie to a size acceptable to play on these devices? Interesting, what app did you use for converison, and how many hours did it take you to accomplish this task?

Re: blu-ray digital movie copies

I believe he is talking about digital copy which is not blue ray format. it is a second disk that comes with a purchased movie much smaller in size than even standard dvd, formated for portable devices ie ipod.
