Problem with Black Rubberized Shield Protector Case (CDMA)

I began using this once my screen protector fell off. The one I originally bought was slightly cracked so it wouldn't stay on flush. They gladly sent me a new one, but when I completely took off the broken one to replace I had a large amount of little scratches only on where the case covered on my front screen. None were on the part of the screen actually touched so I assume it was from the cover. Just a heads up for anyone using these, you may actually want to use in addition to the screen protector. Could anyone shed some light on this with a similair experience or a suggestion as to what to do with my scratched up screen on my brand new diamond? Thanks in advance everyone.
