n00b: Diamond Getting HOT!

OK. Bought this Diamond Sunday and immediately flashed Juicy 2.6 to it.
Battery life has been horrible.

Not sure if I've been missing it or if it's something new new but I noticed yesterday the phone is getting HOT.

Makes no difference if it's charging or not.
If I'm using it or not.

It's the area behind the D-Pad.
I'm wondering what the next step is(?).

I'm thinking of trying the stock ROM or 2.5, been waiting for 2.7 but with this I think I should do something now.

Noticed a few have taken there Diamond back to the carrier for replacement.
Thinking of that as well.

Any recommendations would be helpful.

Re: n00b: Diamond Getting HOT!

no recommendations at the moment... the phone simply gets hot when you're talking on it and when using GPS. if it's getting hot when you're not using it, something else could be wrong and it may be worth swapping.

on the other hand, several users have returned the device because of the heat issue and battery life. don't know how your device is configured and how you use it but i can get 10-12 hours between charges, which is good for a phone like this. it's not the best battery life, but i knew that prior to purchasing the device.

Re: n00b: Diamond Getting HOT!

I've been getting about 8 hours with push email. Streaming Sirius to bluetooth headphones and Watching a bit of Sprint TV, with some browsing thrown in too.

I flashed to the Juicy 2.5 Redid programs and found that it was WiFi Router that I thought to try.
It won't shut down at all. I'm reading up on it now. Even turning off W-Fi and an uninstall it's running.

Re: n00b: Diamond Getting HOT!

my heat issue disappeared with the Verizon Radio, also J2.6 has a little worse battery than previous versions.

Re: n00b: Diamond Getting HOT!

I need to read up on the Verizon radio. Being on Sprint that scares me a bit.

I know the heat issue has been beat but you should've felt it.
I cleared the battery out in about than two hours too.
I'm waiting in line last night a 4am and had to shut down at 6:20am! o:
