Sprint Diamond on Cricket; proxy settings help...

I have a Sprint Diamond running on Cricket. I have EVDO working with no problem, however I can not get the proxy settings to "stick" for http. They remain in the connection properties for "wap" "secure wap" and "socks" Just http won't stay. As soon as I "save" the settings it disappears, it doesn't even require a soft reboot, they just "poof".

My question in this; is there a registry setting I need to modify in order to get this to work properly because this is a stock Sprint rom? If so, where is the key to edit? Any insight or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

Do I just make another "junk" file named the same thing and over write it?

I am having the sae problem on my HTC Touch Pro 2, but that does not have the HTC_Guardian file. Any suggestions? (I realize this is the wrong forum, but you guys seem to know something about this.)
