is the heat issue actually bad for your phone

I keep hearing people talking bad things about this issue but is it actually bad for the phone?

I am still within my 30 days and still think I like my diamond better then what will be the Pro but if this is a potential phone damaging issue i might think otherwise

Re: is the heat issue actually bad for your phone

no one has proved the heat is outside of the devices normal operating temps or is unsafe to the components. Jut a lot of people huffing and puffing making assumptions without any facts (kills the phone, kills the battery, etc etc) Its the usual forum blow-hard attitude, accuse now and threaten to exchange or return to Sprint, fact find later.

Hate to break it to you, but the pro is going to have the same problem. The problems lies in the Radio, and although the Pro's is a *Little* better, prepare to keep your hands warm...at least winter is coming up.

I only know this because I am using the ROM for the radio from the Pro in my Diamond as we speak.

its the fact that the diamond has no heat plate thats the problem. and your correct the pro does have the heat plate. the problem is fixed on the pro.

Re: is the heat issue actually bad for your phone

simple equation

battery + heat = lower battery performance(unless the battery is frozen or some other super extreme of cold)

around room temp + or - a little is optimal for a battery. once you get outside that range the battery performs worse. so depending on how the heat shield functions, eg to keep the back cool, or to keep the battery cool will definitly change the performance of battery life.
