Free/cheap online hosting of PIM that interfaces with outlook?

I'd like to know if anyone has ever come across an online service that allows you to sync your phone's PIM info and also sync with outlook as well. I have two windows mobile devices & one outlook install that I want to keep all synced up (particularly calendar/contacts/tasks). I'm not needing email syncing at this time.
I have tried funambol.com and for just one phone it worked GREAT, can't say enough about it, but when we got a second phone involved, it was problematic and always wanted to do a full sync instead. I've messed with it for weeks now and there is very very little support so I'm trying to find something new.
I know there are free/cheap exchange server hosting sites out there but that won't meet my outlook syncing needs. I still like having a local install of outlook since I use that 90% of the time.

Any suggestions?

Try Dashwire,

  • Contacts

  • Call logs
  • Voicemail
  • Phone settings - Ringtones, Web Bookmarks, Speed Dials
You control which items sync and when it happens. Dashwire connects across wireless data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB.
I use it all the time

This looks like what the OP was looking for. It isn't free but $5/month is a small price to pay for the convenience you get from a hosted exchange solution.

Guys, you're missing a key point in that I want my outlook to also be in sync and I don't want to use the activesync usb connection. I ran screaming from that to finally find funambol, which worked GREAT with one phone set but was problematic with two phones. You can download an Outlook add-in that lets your outlook sync with the Funambol servers and your phones sync with the servers via an internet connection.

What you're suggesting are good products but don't meet what I'm asking for. Thanks for chiming in anyway.

Re: Free/cheap online hosting of PIM that interfaces with outlook?

A shot in the dark but try oggsync. Allows you to sync your mobile calendar with google cal. I'm guessing a three way's in place given that you sync your mobile with outlook. Or you can find an outlook extension that syncs with google maps. http://oggsync.com/ And actually closer inspection of that website shows that they have a plugin for outlook Let us know how it works.

btw for two phones you would have to share google usernames and passwords or setup shared calendars. I don't know if that's a particular feature of oggysync but I think it's worth checking out.

Oggsync is great, except it is only for calendars not for contacts, tasks or notes, which is what I need.
