MAJOR reuccuring problem.. Product flaw or defective device?

I am having a serious problem with my phone. after having it on for about an hour or so, I am unable to be heard or here the person on the other line. This happens even when I try and call my voicemail. If I press any keypad buttons they are heard on the other line. This problem is fixed temporary when I reset the device..

This problem happens with the Sprint stock ROM, and recently, I switched to the Juicy 2.5 ROM and it happened on that one also.

Is this normal or is my phone defective?

the only third party program I have installed is Pdanet and Resco Explorer 2008. This happens even without Resco installed, I'll try and see if Pdanet is the source, but would appreacite any feedback on this issue.

Did you do a hard reset after installing Juicy 2.5?

Re: MAJOR reuccuring problem.. Product flaw or defective device?

I have done both soft and hard resets, and I don't have any other dialers installed. I think this could be because of some registry hack I installed when I was trying to get tethering to work.

And I find it weird that even after a hard reset all my settings for services remain the same, such as, Location Settings (off), and Roaming (Sprint only). This even after installing the Juicy ROM or demoting back to Sprint stock. Weird..

But so far I went back to Sprint stock and haven't installed pdanet or resco and its been about 2 hours without the problem. I'm thinking maybe it was the resco program I was using to tether (Resco Explorer 2008 v7.05).

Try doing a ##RTN#, then "Reset". You will need the MSL. This will wipe your phone's provision, as well as do a hard reset.

That could either be a software or hardware conflict, If you reflashed the rom and have the same issue it could be the phone. But I would try reseting the radio or attempt a update to the radio to see if that can fix it Or the last suggested fix

If that does not work go in for replacement

Critical, there is a invisable piece of plastic over the earpiece. Take it off and you can hear just fine. Also, if you have a screen protector, make sure it is not over your earpiece.

Wasnt my issue I just gave my idea on it, also if his phone works after a reset but then stops im not so sure that could be the issue, But after working at HTC I have been amazed beyond limits what customers do to there phones and what they put on them.

Please people do not GLUE the Fake diamonds on the screen then want a repair. lol
