when you are plugged into your computer via usb cord your data services don't work meaning the internet.
I do believe you can still send text messages and recieve calls. But since pic mail uses the internet that's why it doesn't work. Hope this helps

Re: Picture Mail Can Not Work In USB Drive Mode

there are 2 answers for this question:
1. i believe Sprint Picture Mail uses the 4GbB to store pictures/videos (Internal Storage->Application Data->PictureMail) so when using the Internal Storage as USB Drive mode, the PPC cannot access/see the internal storage since it is being used by the computer
or
2. When you created the Sync Relationship with ActiveSync, you forgot to check "Allow internet calling or MMS when connected to ActiveSync"

if your issue is 2. then go to activeSync's options and enable MMS when conected.
Hope that helps...peace to all

Re: Picture Mail Can Not Work In USB Drive Mode

Same problem. Can't send or receive Picture Mail. Just keeps giving me an alert "Can't use Picture Mail in USB mode".
