registry hacks for faster internet

I looked but haven't seen anything, but if there is mods please kill this thread. Is there anyway to modify the registry on the diamond like you do on a desktop/laptop to change the TCP/IP parameters for faster internet speeds? If so please give me a thread link or your own 2 cents.

there really isn't much you can do to speed up the internet per say on these devices other than changing the max connections and possibly a proxy dns but that only helps with first launch...after that you're subject to the the connection you have. if you're unfamiliar with changing the registry i suggest looking for an app called advanced configurator as it has many options to tweak your device without having to screw with the registry and possibly effing up your entire weekend.

Start, settings, connections, connections, manage existing connectons, edit, next, next, advanced..., servers, use specific server address:

DNS: 4.2.2.2
Alt DNS: 4.2.2.1

you should notice a boost in page generation after doing this...

Doesn't this reset itself after soft resets? I thought that it always used to...

yes, it does reset itself but it still stores the information, so you have to and select it manually. I got another address from one of my friends it seems its a bit faster than the address you gave me but thanks anyway.

mine has only gone away after hard resets... but that was on the mogul... i'll check again next time i soft reset on my diamond.
