Sprint Diamond - RAM and memory on first start w/ touchflo3d enabled

First, I did a search on this and did not find the answers i wanted; so mods, please delete/move this thread if you don't approve - thanks

My question is pretty much in the title of this thread... I know the specs, but the amount of RAM/Memory after the phone runs its default processes and apps is obviously much different than what's stated on the fact sheet.

So, how much RAM and internal memory does the sprint touch diamond have after it's powered on straight out of the box with touchflo3d enabled?? Also, how much RAM if touchflo is disabled? I will be upgrading my mogul soon, so I'd like to know what I'm working with.

Please post any useful info, thanks in advance!

70+ views and no responses in the diamond section of the forum? Somebody must have some insight for me? It's a simple question for any sprint diamond users, so please post your results - thank you.

Tis' true, it's a bit late for that type of assessment. I can tell you as a former mogul user though, the Diamond is slicker, lighter, faster and a hell of a lot prettier. I can also tell you that Touchflo 3D doesn't slow down the operation of the phone at all and try downloading Touchflo 2D to get a feel for the interface, though it'll be different once you get a PRO or Diamond.

Re: Sprint Diamond - RAM and memory on first start w/ touchflo3d enabled

Straight out of the box ur gonna be shocked to find that half of your availible "Device" storage (109 mb) is already in use. Ur gonna have about 50 or so mb available for installing programs. This shocked me because my Mogul had that amount available after I had installed numerous apps. Weird the Mogul has more "device storage" than the Diamond. When installing apps, you might wanna choose "internal storage" as the install location, I found this out the hard way, after installing all my favorite apps to "device storage"I had 12mb left. Now I'm using Juicy's ROM 2.4 which saves a ton of "device memory" after all my apps are installed (to "internal storage") I now have 75mb available. Hope this helps.

Re: Sprint Diamond - RAM and memory on first start w/ touchflo3d enabled

When you first get your Diamond and the screen comes up for the Sprint customizations, soft reset (quickly, you only get 3 seconds). Then after the soft reset, you can install of those what you want, where you want (they are all in the device/windows/ directory). Sprint Navigation and Opera have to be installed in main memory, but the rest can be installed in Internal Storage.

I did this, then installed Schaps Advanced Config Tool, Diamond TF3D Config, Palringo, CodyPPC Personalizer, Resco Explorer 2008, Resco Registry Editor, and a new clock for TF3D and have the following memory specs:

Storage free: 63.21 MB
Program free: 138.84 MB
