Bluetooth PAN

I apologize if this has already discussed but I searched the forum and was unable to find anything. I am trying to use internet sharing to connect my device to my laptop (actually i want to use it so I can use GRemote over BT and I need it to connect through tcp/ip to my laptop). When I go into Network Connections>Bluetooth Network Connections mt phone is listed but it won't connect. I get the error "The connection with the BT network device failed" Bluetooth PAN is listed in the ICS progrom, does it not work?

Re: Bluetooth PAN

I actually bought a bluetooth adapter yesterday and had problems connecting my phone to my laptop. I just deleted the connection already "established" from my phone and computer and redid the process until four options showed up on my phone bluetooth services including: wireless stereo, dialup networking, activesync, and headset. I have Sprint, but it's just a suggestion

Re: Bluetooth PAN

If your trying to connect to your laptop using internet sharing( tcp/ip), you have to use wi-fi (if your laptop has wi-fi built in) and/or using a wireless router for internet connection. Bluetooth doesn't connect that way. In order for you to use bluetooth, you must get a bluetooth adapter. It's wi-fi to wi-fi and bluetooth to bluetooth. Cant connect wi-fi to bluetooth or bluetooth to wi-fi. Just turn on wi-fi on your laptop and set up your internet sharing options and set phone accordingly. Using bluetooth, insatll software and adapter, pair them together (follow inst.) and your good to go.
