I second that . I had a unit replaced yesterday due to that and the red light caused it to constantly crash. The Touch Pro should be to the rescue soon

Same here. Also, battery drains fairly quickly. And yesterday, it failed to power off when I put it the case. Took it out an hour later - screen still on, very hot, and battery at 50%.

Starting to wonder about this device...

Re: HOTTT Batterry/Phone !! :(

MY guess they always leave some issues to make way for new device.

Eg: There is no reason for HTC to remove external SD card slot, they left it for HTC PRO, so ppl buy it later.

Leaving the SD slot out just increases the number of 30-day old Diamonds that they'll get returned!

Re: HOTTT Batterry/Phone !! :(

the Diamond was meant to be an iphone competitor- a multimedia device with built in storage. The pro device is a business geared device so it has an SD slot. Its not the best reasoning but...

a lot of people would rather have the smaller phone than they keyboard just like why a lot of people had touch's and a lot had moguls- choice. I doubt there will be all that many returns other than the usual suspects who play that game with sprint to get new phones for older ones or play the return game

Re: HOTTT Batterry/Phone !! :(

The GSM versions all had overheating batteries with older versions of the radio. Be sure to comment/complain to sprint/htc so we might get an updated radio that may help this.

On this note, if the bugger is OVERHEATING that is drawing from the battery!!!!! Heat has to come from somewheres!

Red light? Where is the red light? The only light on my phone is the white control pad...

I already have a replacement on the way for a broken control pad...

Re: HOTTT Batterry/Phone !! :(

Is your phone hot just by charging through USB cable via computer? Mine is getting pretty good by leaving it charging..
