Sorry, I've done searches but can't find a simple answer to my questions....

1) Does either Iguidance or TomTom work without having to do any mods to the diamond? I don't want to get into the nuts and bolts of Roms and stuff.

2) Do TomTom version 6 maps work with TT7?

1) yes.

2) no idea.

I will answer for the Sprint Diamond.

1) Both work without modification to the Diamond.

2) Not unless is it a hacked version of TT7 and we don't talk about or support that at PPCGeeks.

it has been confirmed over at XDA that TT6 maps will not work with TT7. you are better off getting TT7 maps to prevent incompatibility issues.

That is not entirely true. There are patched versions which I will not mention where to get that are compatible with TomTom 6 maps.
