Get rid of Startup sound

Place the 0 byte silent wav file into the windows folder overwriting the original. The device will boot quietly now.

Store a copy of the original to internal storage just in case you need it.

you can also disable the start up sounds and animations via a registry edit.

really? i didn't know that. details, details.

i have always just replaced the sound files. i have a PhoneOn and a PhoneOff. i have two batteries for most of my pdas. so when i change out, it quite.
my wife hate hearing my phone make that noise. lol, shes just jealous.
