Anyone else having difficulty unlocking?

I have the Sprint Diamond, and when I run the unlocker, it stays at 0% for a while and then I got an ERROR[202]: CONNECTION message.

It says that "The Update Utility cannot connect to your PDA Phone. Please check that your USB Cradle/Cable is connected properly between the PC and your PDA Phone.

Check the following:
1. The PDA Phone is connected to the USB cradle/cable.
2. The USB cradle/cable is connected to the PC."

I followed the instructions in the Unlocker How To sticky. I ignored the ActiveSync setup wizard, and when that didn't work, I tried actually letting the wizard complete. Nothing works.

Help?

Re: Anyone else having difficulty unlocking?

Try this. Unplug your phone from USB. Then plug it in and just choose activesync. Then try running the utility.

That was the first thing I attempted. No dice.

Re: Anyone else having difficulty unlocking?

I'm in the same boat...I can't unlock this phone for the life of me. Different operating systems, different computers, hard reseting, sspl-manually, and NOTHING!!! I want to load Juicy's Sprint 2.1, this is frustrating as hell! I followed the directions EXACTLY! What can I do?

Re: Anyone else having difficulty unlocking?

Same here. Is it possible the phone is unlocked. My tri color screen says Security unlocked, but I received the same message as you but the phone also did not reboot.

I think it says Security Unlocked either way, it has to say something besides .0000 at the end of the second line, I think.

Re: Anyone else having difficulty unlocking?

i had the same issue, but it worked when i tried on my work computer. I thought it might have been the OS because im running Windows Media Center Edition (blah) at home and XP Pro at work, and i know MCE has an issue running some drivers.

Every single PC I have access to is running XP.

I'll try my laptop when I have access to it in a couple of hours, and will post my results.

Re: Anyone else having difficulty unlocking?

I fixed my problem. After choosing Active sync on the phone my Vista machine would take a while to recognize the phone. In My computer it recognized it as a actual phone with a picture as opposed to say a E: drive. After seeing it it still needed to like scan it or something a blue bar went across the screen of the new Diamond window which popped. Once I let that complete on its own and was able browse both the internal memory and the smaller storage then I attempted the instructions and it worked no problem.
