Unlimited QuickGPS registry setting

Hey guys...was just fishing around in the registry using PHM Reg. Editor. In QuickGPS, there's an "Expired Time" setting set at "10080". If you do the math, 24hrs x 60min x 7 days in a wk = ...you guessed it: 10080. i'm sure if you change it to something outrageous, you can make it unlimited.

Re: Unlimited QuickGPS registry setting

The QuickGPS timeout is for the timeout on the triangulation data. So by making it longer, you are negating the effect of the QuickGPS program all together. There is no "trial" period or anything like that on the program. Its timeout is for the data, until it gets new data.

Where does it say that? That makes no sense.

Re: Unlimited QuickGPS registry setting

yeh i think ur missing the point of the app. the app stores satellite data for 7 days, thats not when the app expires. The satellite data itself is whats good for 7 days then it needs to be refreshed. nothing to do with a trial or anything its an app htc includes with the phone. i wouldnt screw with the settings its set to 7 days for a reason
